Debbie Jacob,
esteemed Journalist,
published children's
author (The Legend of
the St. Ann's Flood-
Macmillan) and teacher
at the International
School here in Trinidad
sent this word of praise
to Joanne:
"I think children's literature in Trinidad owes a great
deal to you and I for
one am grateful. I can
remember a time when
there wasn't anything
besides an ABC book and
a couple of books from
Jamaica to read to my
children when they were
five to eight."
